Jury selection gets underway today in the trial of the alleged Tree of Life shooter.
Robert Bowers is accused of entering the Pittsburgh synagogue back in October 2018 and killing 11 people who were worshipping at the time.
If convicted, the 50-year-old Bowers could face the death penalty.
Bowers attorneys have tried to negotiate a plea deal which takes the death penalty off the table, but the federal prosecutors have turned him down.
The trial is expected to last months.
Since the shooting, Bowers has been held in the Butler County Prison.
