Construction work will again get underway this week on a main bridge in Muddy Creek Township.
Weather permitting, PennDOT plans to start the next phase of the $6.3 million Route 488 Portersville Bridge replacement project over Interstate 79 on Monday at 8 p.m.
Nightly through May 20th, crews will be detouring traffic off Interstate 79 both northbound and southbound to allow for new beams to be put in place. This new structure will be a two-span composite steel multi-girder bridge with drainage, deck repairs, and utilities.
This project is expected to continue until June of 2024.
