The Zelienople Borough is responding to an event that a local restaurant is hosting this weekend.
Burgh’ers Brewing is hosting a “drag brunch” this Sunday. After posting the event, the brewery received hateful messages both online and by phone.
Some requested the Zelienople Borough to look at their ordinance regarding lewd or offensive materials. The borough’s solicitor says that the event does not fall under either category, and therefore the ordinance is not applicable.
Zelienople Police will be on hand at the event Sunday in case there are protests.
