Edna Mae Knauer, 83, of Butler, PA, passed away on May 22, 2023, at her residence, surrounded by her daughter and granddaughters under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice. She was born November 30, 1939, in Prospect, Pennsylvania to the late Merl McKinnis and the late Helen Barnhart McKinnis. She was a member of Hill United Presbyterian Church. Edna Mae worked as a school bus driver for STA in Prospect, PA, retiring after 45 years of service for the Slippery Rock School District. She enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Edna Mae is survived by her daughter, Michele (Scott) Hull of Hamburg, NY; two granddaughters, Danielle (Adam) Peffer of Butler, PA, and Lindsey Hull of Hamburg, NY; two great-grandchildren, Riley Peffer, and Colt Peffer; and a number nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bertram H. Knauer, Jr., who she married December 16, 1961, and who passed away on July 17, 2003; two infant twin brothers; seven sisters; and one brother. Private services were held at the convenience of the family. Burial took place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
