A series win in May is still eluding the Pittsburgh Pirates following a loss Sunday against the Seattle Mariners.
The Pirates lost in extra innings to the Mariners 6-3. Despite loading the bases in the top of the 10th inning, the Pirates stranded three runners. The inning ended on a Ke’Bryan Hayes strike out, which was his fourth of the game.
The Pirates now head to San Francisco to take on the Giants. Memorial Day first pitch is scheduled for 5:05 p.m.
