A pedestrian suffered a serious injury after they were struck by a vehicle earlier this week along a busy highway.
According to Butler Township Police, the accident happened just after 4 p.m. Tuesday along Pittsburgh Road (Route 8 South) near the Bredinville split.
33-year-old Stacy Byers of Butler was walking on the southbound shoulder of the road near the merge point of the two lanes when her arm was struck by the passenger side mirror of a vehicle.
Byers was transported to a Pittsburgh area hospital for treatment of the arm injury.
