A well-known local athlete and alumni of Butler Area School District is giving back to the community after being recognized with an award.
Ethan Morton, Butler Class of 2020, and current student athlete with the Purdue University Boilermakers basketball team was selected by the American Licorice Company as one of ten athletes who meet the Sour Patch brand message of “Embrace Your Bunch”.
Morton received $5,000 and the American Licorice Company pledged to donate another $5,000 to a non-profit organization of his choice.
Morton selected the Golden Tornado Scholastic Foundation to receive that donation and recently stopped by Northwest Elementary School to offer inspiration to current students.
