Nicholas L. Alwine Jr

Nicholas L. Alwine Jr, 78, of Butler passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023. He was born in Butler on May 9, 1945 to the late Nicholas Sr. and Allene (Wadding) Alwine. Nicholas served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy. After serving he worked at Pullman until they closed. He was known for being a talented wood crafter, loving the outdoors, and gardening. He was loved and will be forever missed. Nicholas was the brother of Joyce Kirkwood. He is also survived by a large and loving family. He was preceded in death by his siblings Janet Earnest, Richard Alwine, and Allen Alwine, and his girlfriend Cathleen Smith. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 5-7 PM at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD. BUTLER, PA 16001. WWW.SPENCERDGEIBEL.COM.
