Butler County could be receiving additional funding to help with running elections.
The county is expected to apply for an Election Integrity Grant that would see the county get $726,000 from the Department of State.
The grant can be used for a wide range of purposes, including printing ballots, paying for poll worker training, and security.
In turn, the county agrees to a certain set of perimeters, like continuously canvassing mail-in ballots until they are all counted.
Officials say most counties in Pennsylvania take advantage of the election funding—which is about $45 million in total.
