After expressing concerns over their camera surveillance system, Butler County has agreed to a contract with a company to keep a more watchful eye on the software.
County commissioners approved the deal with Allegheny Safe and Lock that will have members of their team continuously keep an eye on the video surveillance system.
Officials say there are times where the software requires an update, but it’s not known to workers until they need to check the footage.
The new agreement will have a monthly check up on the equipment, ensuring that the software is up-to-date.
The county is also expected to review their operations inside the county government center to ensure that its security surveillance is operating at its most efficient level.
