Pirates top draft pick Skenes heading to Altoona

The Pirates have announced that top prospect Paul Skenes will start a game for Double-A Altoona this Saturday. The move comes after Skenes worked two innings on Sunday for Low-A Bradenton, allowing no hits, runs or walks and striking out two. In three starts, which includes one inning in the Florida Complex League, Skenes has logged four minor league innings, allowing only a single while walking none and striking out four.
