An event later this week will walk residents down memory lane in Butler.
Local historian Bill May is presenting “Merchants, Murders, and Movie Theaters” which is a walking tour on Main Street.
May says the event will offer a glimpse into Butler’s past, including a story about an infamous robbery in Butler.
“Their story begins with a robbery in downtown Butler, leading to the first woman in the state of Pennsylvania to be given the electric chair,” May said. “These two were the original Bonnie and Clyde.”
The tour will also offer insight into former stores and movie theaters that were in Butler.
Tickets are available, but the tour is close to sold out.
