Howard L. Graham, age 82, passed away Wednesday, September 6. Born June 24, 1941, in Butler he was the son of the late Howard T. Graham and Pearl M. (Delaney) Graham. Howard graduated from Butler Area High School and was employed at Armco Butler Works for 30 years, mainly at Plant 2. Following his retirement he enjoyed working part time in the pro shop at Conley’s Resort where he was active in fund-raising events for Hunter’s Hope Foundation for children with Leukodystrophies. Howard was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Butler, the B.P.O. Elks Lodge 170, the Butler Masonic Lodge No. 272, the Sons of the American Legion Post #117, and the Bon Aire Car Club.
He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Gladys (Holmes) Graham; two daughters, Sherry (Steve) Collins of Adams Township and Michelle (Rick) Gladd of Butler; five grandchildren, Ryan Collins of Streetsboro, Ohio, Shawn (Natalie) Vincent of Gibsonia, Erika (Matt) Davis of Valencia, Kristi Collins and her fiancé Brad Baughman of Wexford, and Rick Gladd Jr. and his fiancé Jill Kelly of Gibsonia; four great-grandsons, Lucas Vincent, Jacob Vincent, Graham Davis, and Brady Davis; two sisters-in-law, Betty Cumberland of Connoquenessing Township and Debra (Joseph) Simco of Slippery Rock; he is also survived by two aunts, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be private in honor of Howard’s wishes. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hunter’s Hope, PO Box 643, Orchard Park NY 14127 or to the donor’s choice. Arrangements by Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler.
