The parents of the injured Karns City quarterback say his condition continues to fluctuate on a daily basis.
Mason Martin collapsed during a home game earlier this month and was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital.
Since that time, his parents say that “it’s difficult to update regularly because things change daily and sometimes even hourly.”
Over the last week, Martin has had respiratory issues, sodium levels rise, and aggressive coughing spells.
His parents say Mason is “fighting like crazy and there is not an ounce of give up in him.”
A fundraiser over the weekend drew hundreds to the Sugarcreek Township Volunteer Fire Department and raised at least $10,000 for the Martin family.
