Butler County is weighing the future of a local park in the City of Butler.
Last month, the Butler City Council opted to end its lease of Whippo Park.
The City at the time said the playground equipment had become an insurance liability.
County commissioners say they will begin the process of taking out the equipment. However, what the park will look like after that is still in question.
The lease had been in place since 1995, which saw the City pay the county $1 a year for the property which is in the South Side of Butler.
