A bipartisan resolution aims to bring awareness to rare cancers.
Congressman Mike Kelly joined with other lawmakers to name tomorrow as Rare Cancer Day, which highlights the challenges patients face and to unify individuals living with rare cancers for awareness and early diagnosis.
Kelly says approximately 1 in 5 Americans living with cancer are diagnosed with a rare cancer. That includes pediatric cancer, which impacts 15 million children in the country.
“Cancer does not discriminate, it has impacted all of us in some way,” Kelly said in a statement. Kelly is a part of the House Cancer Caucus.
