State police have released more information about a heavy police presence in a neighborhood in the Connoquenessing area Tuesday morning.
Troopers responded in the early morning hours near The Woodlands development, which is just off of Route 528, for a report of shots fired.
At that time, police stated that there was no threat to the general public. Hawk Road and Doe Road were closed with traffic detoured.
In the early afternoon, police stated that a person had been taken into custody without incident. Later in the day, police announced that Jeffery Richard Ford Jr refused to exit his residence and ignored all attempts at contact by troopers.
Ford has been charged with Disorderly Conduct, Reckless Endangerment, and Simple Assault. He was booked into the Butler County Prison on $50,000 bail.
