The swinging bridge in the City’s Island neighborhood is closed indefinitely.
The bridge is currently blocked off by tape after a couple of recent incidents of vandalism.
A couple of planks on the bridge have broken, however the metal structure itself is sound and has not been damaged.
The City is working on getting estimates and bids for the work now. No timetable is available on when the work will be scheduled or when the bridge will be reopened.
