Butler County’s district attorney expects to add more charges to the man accused of hitting and killing a teenager on his bicycle.
38-year-old Joshua Rivera of Butler is charged with hitting 15-year-old Aiden Lutz, who was riding his bicycle on Dutchtown Road last Thursday.
Rich Goldinger, the county’s district attorney, says that charges will be amended to include homicide by vehicle. Goldinger also told our news partners at WPXI that Rivera was driving with a suspended license due to a DUI.
31-year-old Nicole Kelly of Butler is also facing charges in the case, after she allegedly helped Rivera avoid police in their search for him over the weekend.
Rivera and Kelly were both taken into custody Saturday night at the Comfort Inn on Route 8 in Butler Township.
