With the Butler County elections office now on West Cunningham Street, a number of renovations have been approved for the facility.
County commissioners say that with the elections office growing in personnel and also storage requirements, it is necessary to update the office.
However, most of the work will be done by county maintenance workers. Officials say that contracting the work could take too long and butt up against next year’s election.
The work will begin after the City’s Magistrate office relocates to Pullman Square.
