A local organization is asking for help from local residents to support those in need.
Butler SUCCEED is soliciting donations of non-perishable, non-expired food items on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon as part of the Stick a Fork in Hunger! IZE on Food Security and Food Justice project.
The goal of this project is to REALIZE, EMPATHIZE, and MOBILIZE regarding local food issues through the collection of $2,500 and two tons of nonperishable food items to support local hunger relief.
Butler SUCCEED on North Main Street in Butler is an initiative of the Institute for Nonprofit Leadership at Slippery Rock University.
