The Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-10 Sunday at Acrisure Stadium. The Steelers lost starting quarterback Kenny Pickett to a rib injury and defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick to a hamstring injury in the first half. The offense had another slow start, with four straight three-and-out possessions to begin the game, and managed just one touchdown overall. The defense did it’s best to hold the Steelers in the game, but the Jaguars hit a big play for a touchdown in the third quarter which put the game away. The Steelers even had a field goal wiped out by a penalty in the first half that would have made it a 9-6 game at that time.
Mitch Trubisky threw two interceptions in relief of Pickett. He threw the lone touchdown pass, a 22-yard completion to George Pickett.
The Steelers have a short week of preparation as they host the Tennessee Titans for a Thursday Night game this week.
The Titans defeated Atlanta 28-23 Sunday, the most points they have scored since 2021. Rookie quarterback Will Levis threw four touchdowns in his NFL debut.
In the AFC North:
–Baltimore improved to 6-2 with a 31-24 win over Arizona.
–Cincinnati defeated San Francisco 31-17.
–Seattle defeated Cleveland 24-20.
The Steelers, Browns and Bengals are all 4-3.
