Cranberry Township Police say one man died in a bicycle accident Tuesday night.
It happened just before midnight in the northbound lane of Route 19, near the intersection with Saint Francis Way, which is the entrance to UPMC Passavant.
Police say their early investigation appears that the bicycle was struck from behind in the left lane of traffic.
Crews arrived on scene and found a 22-year-old man riding the bicycle with serious injuries. He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The name of the victim has not been released by police.
A portion of Route 19 was shut down for over an hour last night as crews investigated.
