Jane Marie Palmer, 95, of Butler, passed away on November 22, 2023, at the Lowrie Place.
She was born on December 6, 1927, in Butler, PA, to the late Roy C. Bauer and Charolette M. Kelly.
Jane was a member of St. John’s Reformed Church and was previously a member of the former Bethany United Church of Christ. She was a member of the Space Bowling League for many years and was a former member of the 60 Plus Bowling League. She also enjoyed knitting & crocheting, travelling on the Campbell Bus Tours, playing computer games, and spending quality time with her family.
Jane is survived by her two sons, Ronald (Deborah) Palmer and Jay (Kim) Palmer; one daughter, Carol (Jeffrey) King, six grandchildren, Daniel (Lynette) Palmer, Nichole Palmer-Cossu, Brian (Lydia) King, Lorie Beth King, Jason Palmer and Jacob Palmer, two great grandchildren, Logan King, and Carmen King. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 73 years, who passed away on October 24th, Harry C. Palmer, Jr.; her sister, Eleanore Libell; as well as her brother Roy C. Bauer.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA 16001. A Funeral Service being held directly after the visitation with Pastor Jarrod Crawford and Pastor Andrew Pepe officiating.
A private interment will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made out to the Veteran’s Organization of one’s choice.
