A local learning institution will be receiving funding from the PA Department of Education to help students in need of food assistance.
Butler County Community College has been awarded $20,000 through this year’s PA Hunger-Free Campus Grant Program.
Money can be used through the end of this year to help schools address food insecurity on campus, expand access to food options, create awareness initiatives, and upgrade facilities.
This is the second time grants have been awarded since the creation of this program and this time a total of one million dollars was awarded to 30 educational institutions statewide.
