Carmella Jane Critchlow, 87, of Butler, PA, passed away at her residence on Sunday, January 14, 2024.
She was born on July 21, 1936, to the late Vincent James Bonetti and the late Carmella “Minnie” (Diana) Bonetti.
Carmella was a member of First United Methodist Church in Butler and was also was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed doing water aerobics at the YMCA, loved to dance, and was a clothing model in her earlier years. Carmella was a passionate baker and reader, and took pleasure in crocheting and sewing. More than anything, she cherished spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Critchlow, Sr. whom she married on June 2, 1956, one son, Robert Critchlow, Jr. of Williamston, SC, four daughters, Valerie Balsiger (Tom) of Butler, PA, Tara “Tammy” Allman (Bob) of Butler, PA, Robin (Ron) Wolfe of Renfrew, PA, and Margie (Chuck) Becker of Renfrew, PA, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, one brother, James “Jimmy” (Margie) Bonetti of Boyers, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Carmella was preceded in death by nine brothers, Joseph (infant brother), Frank, Andrew, Joseph, Guy, Anthony, Eugene, Furrie, and Albert Bonetti; one sister, Virginia Hockenberry and her step-mother, Antoinette Bonetti.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, January 19, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North St., Butler, PA 16001. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1:30 PM with Pastor David Janz of First United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
