Butler County is looking into the possibility of a new athletic facility.
Commissioners approved a feasibility study to look at the impact of adding a “multi-use event space” in the southern tier of the county.
Commissioners said the Tourism Bureau and municipalities believe adding a new facility to the county would help bring events and visitors from outside the area to help spur economic growth.
Officials said all options are on the table, including an event space that has indoor and outdoor facilities.
There are also a number of sites that could be considered.
The feasibility study could be done by the end of this March.
