Raymond A. Hoffman, Jr., 67, of Butler, PA, passed away at home surrounded by family on February 6, 2024. He was born on February 17, 1956, in Pittsburgh, PA, to his late parents.
Ray was a devoted husband to Margie and a loving father to Amy and Zachary. He adored his grandchildren, Kaiden, Henry, and Charlie, as well as his great-grandchildren, Kingsley and Bailer. Ray was always happiest around his family.
In his spare time, Ray enjoyed being a part of Scouts BSA. He found joy in leading young scouts and helping them develop important life skills. Ray’s dedication to the organization was evident in the dozens of scouts who earned their Eagle awards with his mentorship. He also was instrumental in the founding of a new all-girls troop when Scouts BSA opened up their enrollment to girls.
No memorial services are planned at this time. However, the family kindly requests that any contributions be made to ALIVE! Community Church at alivecc.com in Ray’s memory.
Ray will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a man that will certainly never be forgotten, no matter how hard you try.
“It was nice havin’ ya, Ray!”
