Some local students will be collecting money and goods while observing theme days during this upcoming week.
Mars Area Elementary Schools are holding an online Healthy Heart fundraiser through Tuesday with others going until March 1st to benefit the American Heart Association. Kids will learn about heart health while participating in heart healthy activities in gym class.
Students at the Centennial School will also have the chance to participate in theme days this week including Pajama Day on Monday, work out gear on Tuesday, and clothing with hearts on Wednesday.
A fundraiser of the Centennial School Jam Club will benefit the Butler County Humane Society Monday through Friday by the collection of items such as canned dog and cat food, treats, leashes, laundry detergent, garbage bags, and kitty litter. Donations can be dropped off at the school’s main office during school hours.
