Butler Memorial Hospital has received national recognition for outpatient joint replacement.
Healthcare platform, Healthgrades, named the local facility as one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Outpatient Joint Replacement.
This designation puts Butler Memorial Hospital in the top 5% nationwide in this particular area as well as one of two hospitals in Pennsylvania and the only one in the western portion of the state.
Independence Health went on to note that Butler Memorial handles hip replacement, rotator cuff, back, and neck surgery, and received a five star rating in outpatient total knee replacement.
In order to arrive at this rating, Healthgrades analyzed Medicare patient outcomes between 2020 and 2022 and found a lower risk of complications observed at hospitals that received this award.
