Crews were busy battling a brush fire yesterday afternoon near the southern Butler County line.
A call came into the Butler County 911 Center just before 3 p.m. for a brush fire along Cherry Valley Road in Saxonburg.
Dispatchers say the fire was spreading through grass and wooded areas near a home.
Crews were eventually able to put out the fire after nearly two hours.
No buildings were damaged, but about three acres of land was burned.
