Cranberry Township is preparing for the next step to revamp its Impact Fee Program.
Tonight’s meeting could see the Board of Supervisors consider re-establishing the Transportation Impact Fee advisory committee to oversee changes and improvements in areas like land use, roadway analysis, and capital improvements.
This program to make developers pay a certain fee in order to improve community infrastructure was put into place decades ago but this would be the first full update to the long-range transportation plan and impact fee in a decade.
There were minor changes in the plan three years ago, but township officials say the update to analyze transportation needs and factor in rising construction costs is expected to be completed later this year.
