Butler County residents spent more at state liquor stores this past fiscal year.
According to recently released data from the 2022-23 fiscal year, Butler County Fine Wine and Good Spirit stores did $46 million in retail sales. That number is up five percent from last fiscal year.
However, the state stores also implemented some price increases, which they said was a result of inflation.
In Butler County, the most popular spirit was whiskey, which netted over $12 million in sales. Vodka ranked second at $7.2 million.
In Pennsylvania overall, Prosecco was by-far-and-away the highest sold wine at nearly $14 million. Tito’s vodka remained the most popular in the Keystone State with nearly $120 million in sales.
