The American Cancer Society is recognizing one local volunteer for her work in raising funds for cancer patients.
Toni Grupp of Butler has been coordinating the local Daffodil Days campaign for the last 26 years. Officials say this year alone, she raised $30,000 for the annual springtime fundraiser.
We spoke with Grupp before this year’s campaign about why she continues to volunteer for Daffodil Days.
“I truly believe in the mission. And it also has touched many of my family members,” Grupp said. “I just want to keep it alive and running, and do my best in Butler County to raise dollars so our people in the county and elsewhere can be helped and taken care of.”
Daffodil Days kicks off in January, while flowers are delivered in early spring. You can learn more about volunteering with the American Cancer Society on their website.
