The Butler Area Public Library will be showcasing a large number of interesting buttons this month and next.
The exhibit is called Button Collecting – A Fun Hobby for Everyone, presented by the Keystone Button Club.
This exhibit includes sewn-on buttons for functional or ornamental use on everyday or ceremonial clothing. Visitors will be able to see carved, painted, inlaid and laser-etched buttons made of metal, glass, horn, shell, fabric, wood, and synthetic polymers.
The exhibit is free to the public and can be found on the second floor showcases and gallery of Butler Area Public Library.
