Moraine State Park is offering local educators a workshop later this week for those interested in teaching more about trees.
Instructors from Project Learning Tree will lead a workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday at the Region 2 office on Park Road.
Educators of kids pre-K through 8th grade can learn about trees with activities like a guided hike, paper making, and living with fire as well as hands-on activities near the shore of Lake Arthur.
Participants should bring a sack lunch and dress for the outdoors. The cost to attend is $20 and registration is required by calling the park office.
