John “Chris” Hendy, 69, of Butler, PA, passed away on July 4, 2024, at his residence.
He was born on November 9, 1954, in Trenton, MI, to the late John and Elaine [Lacroix] Hendy.
John graduated from Lyman High School in 1973 and worked as a Software Engineer until his retirement in 2021. He enjoyed reading, cooking, researching various topics, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryle [Greiner] Hendy, whom he married on November 3, 1990; his sons, Douglas (Jayme) Nulph and Matthew Nulph; his daughter, Stacey (James) McGowan; his five grandsons, Cameron, Devin, Tanner, Gavin, and Brayden; his three great-grandchildren, Max, Molly, and Bella; his brother, Gregory (Cheryl) Hendy; his two sisters, Rena (Bob) Costantine and Lisa (Delisle) Wight; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North Street, Butler, PA 16001.
