Betty Sawron, 99, of Butler passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024. She was born in Templeton, PA on June 1, 1925 to the late Walter and Violet (McIntyre) Schall. Betty left her home at 14 to be a nanny, and then worked as a waitress in the White Tower in New Kensington; where she waited on up and coming entertainers such as Nat King Cole. She wanted to be a pilot during the war but her eyes prevented her from flying, but she later got a job as an inspector of windshields on war planes. Betty also had various caretaker jobs; but the job she cared for the most was being a mother. She was known for being caring and wonderful to anyone she met. Betty was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Sawron; mother of Diane (Dewayne) Filges and Joseph Sawron, grandmother of Bethany; Great grandmother of Avielle and Isaiah. She is also survived by her brother in law Rudolph Spino, and her sister in law Katherine Sheppeck, and numerous nieces and nephews. All services were held privately through the SPENCER D.
