Jhonattan Vegas won for the first time in nearly seven years on the PGA Tour by holing a 3-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole for a one-shot victory in the 3M Open in Minnesota. His round included hitting a security officer with a shot. The 39-year-old from Venezuela won his fourth PGA Tour title but first since 2017.
K.J. Choi became the first South Korean to win a senior tour major champion when he won the Senior British Open in Scotland. Choi finished with a 2-under 70 for a two-stroke victory over Australia’s Richard Green.
American Lauren Coughlin won the LPGA Tour stop in Alberta, Canada.
Jon Rahm won his first LIV Golf Tour event since joining the rival tour in December when he took victory in the LIV Golf UK tournament by one stroke yesterday. Rahm is one seven LIV players in the Olympics next week at Le Golf National outside Paris.
