After reports of fatal listeria food poisoning Boar’s Head has recalled seven million pounds of their products.
As of Wednesday morning, there has been 34 reported cases of listeria and two of those cases have led to deaths. Meats with sell-by dates ranging from July 29 to October 17 have been recalled.
The outbreaks are connected to a Virginia plant that discovered the problem after a sample testing of a liverwurst product. So far cases have ranged across 13 states according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
This recall come after 200,000 pounds of deli meats were recalled last week. A total of 71 Boar Head products are now being recalled.
