Butler County Community College has named as assistant professor as the next leader of an academic division.
Harrisville resident Stephanie Long was named as the interim dean of the education and behavioral sciences division.
Long earned degrees from Slippery Rock University and spent time teaching elementary students. She began her career at BC3 in 2012.
Since 2017, Long has been coordinator of BC3’s early childhood education transfer program. She is also a board member of the Pennsylvania Association of Colleges and Teacher Educators, advisor of BC3’s early childhood learning club, and den leader of a Cub Scout pack.
Long succeeds Dr. Nichol Zaginaylo who accepted a position with the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
