The Mars Area School Board is taking the next step in the process of an expansion project at their elementary school.
During a special meeting earlier this week, the Mars board approved an agreement with Draw Collective for architectural and engineering services. Draw was selected after receipt of proposals and interviews with several firms.
This $24 million project includes a new wing at the elementary school. Once completed, the new facility would house kindergarten through third grade students.
The next step of this process will see Mars administrators and board members work with the firm in the design phase of the project which is expected to continue into the fall.
