A local man has been chosen to represent Butler County at the state level as a member of a group devoted to attracting and retaining residents to rural areas.
Butler County Chamber of Commerce President Jordan Grady has been selected by Governor Josh Shapiro as one of two Pennsylvania residents on the newly formed Pennsylvania Rural Population Revitalization Commission.
This commission will also address the unique challenges faced by rural communities due to demographic shifts.
Grady will be working alongside members of the PA Senate and House as well as other organizations dedicated to rural development including Slippery Rock University President Dr. Karen Riley.
