A new study shows that Pennsylvania drivers are getting pulled over by state police at roughly the same rate, regardless of race.
The data from an independent study looked at 450,000 vehicle stops from last year.
It found that the stops were for driving violations and trooper decisions about how to enforce the law were based on legal factors, not race or ethnicity.
The study is being conducted on an annual basis following a complaint that the state police targeted a group of Latino drivers in the state.
