Samuel “Toby” Tobias Vollnogle, age 61, of Prospect, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Through his passing, he was able to give the gift of life through CORE Organ Donation.
Born August 1, 1963, in Lisbon, Ohio; he was the son of the late Kenneth and Alice Bosworth Vollnogle.
He was a member of the Emmanual Lutheran Church of Prospect.
Toby was a very skilled craftsman who built and finished his own cabin. He had an eye for detail and the carpentry, plumbing, electrical and masonry skills to make the details into reality. He was a jack of all trades and master of many. He was very generous with his talents, helping everyone he knew with their projects free of charge. Even with his many health challenges in recent years, Toby managed to bless a myriad of people with his skills.
He had a love for the outdoors, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking, camping, visiting with family and friends, and walking his dog Shadow. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl Jesteadt Vollnogle, who he married November 30, 1991; his children Joshua (Megan) Vollnogle of New Castle and Daniel Vollnogle of Prospect; two grandsons Luke and Liam; three brothers Charlie (Debbie) Vollnogle, Jeff (Donna) Vollnogle, Kim (Michelle) Vollnogle all of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at the Raisley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, pc., 387 Main Street, Prospect.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, 1pm at Emmanual Lutheran Church, Prospect, with Rev. Tara Lynn, his church pastor, officiating.
