Janice Carole Stein

Janice Carole Stein, age 88, of Butler; went to be with her Lord and Savior following a brief illness on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
Born August 9, 1936 in Butler; she was the daughter of the late Roy H. and Evelyn O’Hara Fishel.
She was blessed to be a homemaker and enjoyed time with her family. As a mom in her younger years, she volunteered many hours as a member of the Mother’s Club at the Prospect Boys and Girls Club. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, bird watching, and crocheting.
Janice was admired for her consistent walk of faith with God and her strength of character.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years William R. Stein, whom she married October 27, 1956; her children Larry Stein of Butler, Edward (Lin) Stein of Butler, Linda (Brian) Enis of Grove City, and Susan (Tom) Martsolf of Butler; her grandchildren Sarah Enis, Joe (Lacey) Enis, Ben Enis, Rachel (Patrick) Cusanelli, Erik Martsolf, Jordan Martsolf; her great grandson Patrick William Cusanelli; and her siblings Judy Hankey, Jim (Ginger) Fishel, Evelyn (Johnny) Allison, and Gloria (Larry) Snyder.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter Mary Ann Stein and her brother LeRoy Fishel.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 3pm to 6pm at the Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect.
Funeral service will be on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 11am in the Funeral Home with Rev Brian Enis, her son in law and Pastor of Fairfield Presbyterian Church and Rev Ben Oesterling, Pastor of Mt Zion Baptist Church, co-officiating.
Interment will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Butler.
