Aimee Sue Fritz. 51, of Herman, peacefully passed away while surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, following a six-year battle with ovarian cancer.
Aimee was born in Butler on August 29, 1973, to Alvin Zang and Norine Weiland Rowley and graduated from Butler High School in 1992.
Following high school, she married her husband, Mark Fritz, and the couple welcomed their three sons.
She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church. She served her church by volunteering at Children’s Hour and the Lenten fish frys.
Aimee was a homemaker and the beloved matriarch of her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her boys.
Not only did she raise her sons, she spent many years caring for the children she lovingly received into her in-home daycare.
Most recently, she worked as a baker and greeter at the Eat ’n Park restaurant at Clearview Mall.
She enjoyed gardening, canning, and camping with her family.
Aimee’s radiant personality and kindness left an impact on her family, friends, neighbors, and the surrounding community.
She is survived by her husband, Mark C. Fritz, whom she married April 20, 1996; three sons, Michael Fritz and his wife, Emily, Matthew Fritz and his wife, Jennifer, and Nicholas Fritz; her father, Alvin Zang and his wife, Susan; her mother, Norine Rowley; one sister, Sandy Waterbec and her husband, Mark; one brother, Kevin Zang and his wife, Leah; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fred and Deb Fritz; and her brother-in-law, DeWayne Fritz and his wife, Kasey.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Services will be private.
