Paula Baptiste Floyd

Paula Baptiste Floyd, 62, of Butler, passed away at her residence on Sunday, October 13, 2024, while under the care of AHN Hospice.
Born on March 16, 1962, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Marilyn (Campbell) Stephenson.
Paula graduated from Butler High School in 1980. She worked for the Butler Area School District as a Teacher, until
her retirement in 2022. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she worked as the Music
Director for the Crossfire Campus. She was also a member of the Musical Theater Guild of Butler. Paula enjoyed
singing, crafting, rescuing dogs, eating at new restaurants, spending time with her loving family, and playing with her
beautiful grandbabies.
Paula is survived by her husband, Carl M. Floyd, whom she married on July 1, 2017; her son, Nicholas S. Baptiste; her
daughter, Fontine M. Pedersen (Karl); her stepson, Logan M. Floyd; her granddaughter, Rakel D. Pedersen; and her
grandson, Remy S. Pedersen.
In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by an infant brother.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 10:00am to 11:00am, at First United Methodist Church
Crossfire Campus, 1802 N. Main Street, Butler, PA 16001.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Crossfire Church on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 11:00am, with Pastor David
Janz officiating.
A private burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paula’s memory to the Lighthouse Foundation, P.O. Box 366,
Bakerstown, PA 15007; or to the Musical Theater Guild of Butler, P.O. Box 2001, Butler, PA 16003-2001.
