The body overseeing high school sports in Pennsylvania will be subject to a comprehensive study following a decision by the state house.
Lawmakers will conduct a thorough study of the PIAA that will examine their decision-making processes and overall operations. The study comes following a resolution by State Representative Rob Matzie, who expressed numerous concerns about the association.
He says the study will look at the PIAA’s competition and classification formula, transfer policy, their finances, and the board of directors.
The PIAA has been subject to numerous lawsuits recently, including filings from the Butler Area School District.
