After years of work, the Marion Township sewer project is officially expected to wrap up this week.
County officials say that all the laterals are done and homes in the township are hooked up to the new sewage system. The final restorations to homes will finish on Friday.
The over $5 million project was started after years-long issues with septic tanks and sewage runoff in the township. The project was funded through a variety of programs, and did not come at any cost to the residents.
County officials say they were able to finish the project “on time and on budget.”
